तस्स उत्तरी सूत्रતસ્સ ઉત્તરી સૂત્ર Jain Sutra

  1. तस्स उत्तरीकरणेणं, पायच्छित्तकरणेणं, विसोहीकरणेणं, विसल्लीकरणेणं, पावाणं कम्माणं निग्घायणट्ठाए, ठामि काउस्सग्गं.

    તસ્સ ઉત્તરીકરણેણં, પાયચ્છિત્તકરણેણં, વિસોહીકરણેણં, વિસલ્લીકરણેણં, પાવાણં કમ્માણં નિગ્ઘાયણટ્ઠાએ, ઠામિ કાઉસ્સગ્ગં.

    Tassa Uttarikaranenam, Payachchhittakaranenam, Visohikaranenam, Visallikaranenam, Pavanam Kammanam Nigghayanatthae, Thami Kaussaggam.

    To make that fault good again, to atone for it, to purify the soul, to free it of inner thorns, and to destroy sinful karma, I stand in kayotsarg.

About Tassa Uttari Sutra

Also called the Uttarikaran Sutra. It states why the kayotsarg is done: to make amends for faults, to atone, to purify the soul, to remove inner thorns and to destroy sinful karma. It follows the Iriyavahiya Sutra and is followed straight away by the Annattha Sutra, which sets out the exceptions of the kayotsarg.
